Business Development Strategy Sessions

What is a strategy session?

A business strategy session enables me to take a closer look at the ins and outs of your business, then put together a comprehensive plan that will help you achieve your own unique goals and business aspirations.

Is it right for you?

If you’re just about to start a business, you’ll find your time with me to be invaluable, because I can make sure you’re fully prepared for what’s in store. If you’ve been in business for a while and you feel like your progress has stalled, a strategy session will help you spot weaknesses that could be affecting your performance and work out how to turn them into strengths.

What will we cover?

Depending on your stage of business will determine what we cover, but typically as a start up we will talk about your business name, branding, business model, where to find customers or clients, networking, strategic alliances, growth, scaling up your business and your exit strategy. We will be thinking 3-5 years ahead!

As an established business we will review where you are, what needs updating or changing in your business with a fresh pair of eyes. A complete overview and a new way of thinking about your business. I’ll start our conversation with whatever made you seek advice and take it from there! This starting point will fire my imagination to help you find solutions to push forward to the next phase of your business.

How long will it take?

My business growth strategy sessions typically last for three and a half hours.

Do I need to prepare for our session?

No, not unless you want to. If you are an existing business I will critique your business before we meet by researching your business online. If you are a new or pre-start up business and there is nothing to find online, I will look at your sector or local competitors before we meet. I like our session to be ‘organic’ as this is how I work best! I do not have a ‘prescriptive’ way of working and will not come to the meeting with a pre-prepared checklist of questions. I will simly open the conversation with you and ask you to tell me about your idea (or existing business) and we’ll take it from there. I will find all I need to know from you, by probing and asking many questions. As we talk I will gather the information I need to offer solutions and advice to form your unique business strategy!

Do we need to meet face-to-face?

No. My sessions have moved to Zoom video conferencing since COVID-19. Sessions work well on screen and this platform has proved to be a perfect solution for anybody outside of my usual catchment area, to use my services. There are no geographical boundaries when conducting sessions via Zoom! These sessions are in-depth so we can schedule a short break during our time together to prevent screen tiredness. What will you take away from your time with me?

You’ll discover which processes need to be set in place in order to launch or boost your business. You’ll receive a full list of tasks and recommendations from me, and I’ll follow up with you a few weeks after the session to see how you’re getting on.
